CARLIE DISERIO

Carlie W. Diserio joined Allison, Slutsky & Kennedy in August 2023. Carlie graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law in May 2023 with a concentration in Labor and Employment Law. While in law school, she served as the President of the Labor and Employment Law Society, President of the Democratic Law Caucus, Vice President of the West Virginia Employment Lawyers Association, and Vice President of the American Civil Liberties Union Student Chapter. She was the recipient of the ABA-Bloomberg BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law.

Carlie externed at the National Labor Relations Board, Region 6 during one semester of law school, where she worked on unfair labor practice investigations, contributed research on bargaining rights amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, participated in ballot count elections, and conducted other research, analysis, and drafting for pending cases. In 2022, Carlie was awarded the Peggy Browning Fund Fellowship. With the fellowship, she worked at the AFL-CIO Office of the General Counsel in Washington, DC. There, Carlie contributed to memos before the National Labor Relations Board, conducted research on post-Dobbs bargaining approaches and election objections, and produced writing analyzing temporary rule changes by federal agencies.

Carlie was born in West Virginia where she grew up with a strong union background. Carlie graduated from West Virginia University with an undergraduate degree in 2020. In her free time, Carlie enjoys cooking, thrifting, and exploring Chicago.
