Allison, Slutsky & Kennedy, P.C. offers a full range of services in the areas of pension law and employee benefits law. The firm has experience in the drafting of trust agreements, plan bylaws, and other organic documents of pension and employee benefit plans, as well as collective bargaining agreement provisions relating to such plans. The firm is also experienced in counseling plan trustees and administrators with respect to all aspects of plan administration.      

The firm’s lawyers are also experienced in a variety of employee benefits litigation on behalf of employee benefit plans, their trustees and administrators, and plan participants. Such litigation includes actions to determine the validity of plan provisions and administrators' actions; the review of plan benefit determinations; qualified domestic relations orders (QDROs); the subrogation of employee benefit plans to individual participants; the enforcement of employer obligations to multiemployer plans in the federal and state courts, before administrative agencies, through arbitration, and in bankruptcy proceedings; actions relating to fiduciary obligations; and the enforcement of employer obligations to multiemployer benefit plans against individual principals and agents of employers, in the federal and state courts, before administrative agencies, and in bankruptcy proceedings.

In addition, Tom Allison has served as a Trustee of the Chicago Policemen's Annuity and Benefit Fund. He is general counsel of the Inter-Local Pension Fund of the Graphic Communications Conference of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, a pension fund established and maintained by local unions in the printing industry and funded by employee contributions, which currently has more than 75 participating local unions and $1.6 billion in assets. 

Assisted by Wesley Kennedy and Liza Reynolds, Karen Engelhardt is co-collection counsel to the Laborers' Pension & Welfare Funds of Chicago and vicinity; and is collection counsel to the HERE Officers & Employees Pension Plan.
